A 56-year-old New Brunswick man faces multiple charges connected to an October 2 house fire that displaced three families and killed a dog and a cat. Police received a call about the fire in the four-family house on Home Street at about 3:45 p.m., according to a press release from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.

There were no reported injuries from a June 15 fire at the Imperia by Dhaba on Easton Avenue, officials said. A fire activation alarm was received from the Imperia at 2:19 p.m., according to a press release from the Franklin Township Police Department.

Officials are investigating a June 13 fire in a Willow Road home that left it uninhabitable. FTPD officers, firefighters and EMS personnel were dispatched to the location after Township police received a call of a garage fire at about 8:21 p.m., according to a press release about the incident.

One person was injured January 30 in a fire in a business on Route 27. Police responded to a call at about 2:46 p.m. of a fire in a commercial kitchen in the unnamed business, which police said is located between Stewart Avenue and Pleasant Plains Road.

There were no reported injuries in a detached garage fire January 7 that closed part of Hamilton Street, police said. Police said the fire was reported shortly after 4 p.m. Responding officers found a home’s detached garage ablaze.
