Creative Backup Care Options has added Knowledge Universe, the leading national private provider of early childhood education and care, to its Backup Care provider network.
CBCO provides backup care to mid-sized companies and seeks to expand the presence of Backup Care as a whole in the workplace.
Backup Care is an employee benefit that provides temporary care for employees’ children, adults and elders when their regular caregiving arrangements are unavailable and they need to be at work.
“We are excited about the addition of over 1,500 high quality Knowledge Universe early childhood education centers and sites to our provider network because it enhances the options that employees will have with the CBCO Backup Care program,” Somerset resident Bernadette Fusaro, CEO and Co-Founder of CBCO, said in a press release about the partnership. “With dual-income earners being commonplace, child care is a concern for many employees. The CBCO provider network acts as an extension of employees’ families for their care needs.”
“Every day families, working for large and small companies, are looking for more ways to help them juggle their busy schedules, which is why providing access to backup care to families in the CBCO network through our early learning centers is so important,” Mark Schmitz, SVP Business Development for Knowledge Universe, said in the release.
With this new strategic alliance, CBCO and Knowledge Universe say they believe that they can expand quickly together to compete and capture a larger share of the Backup Care market. With more than 94,000 mid-sized companies in the US with 100-1000 employees, the companies say they believe there is ample opportunity to bring more businesses into the framework of supporting their employees with work/life balance benefits.
