Body & Brain Yoga with Lucy Pagnetti – Monday, 10:30 a.m. ($5.00 suggested donation/class)
Bridge Lessons – Every Friday, 10:30 a.m.
Chair Tai Chi with Bobbi Joels – Every Other Tuesday, 10:30 a.m.
Computer Instruction – Every Monday & Tuesday, 9 a.m.-noon (Please call for appointment.)
Gentle Yoga – Tuesday, 1:30-2:30 p.m. (The cost is $40 for an eight-week session. May 5 through June 23. Advanced registration is required. Forms are available at the Quail Brook Senior Center.)
Healthy Bones Exercise Class with Joan Ackerman – Monday, 9:15 a.m. (Doctor’s Note Needed for Class)
Line Dancing – Every Friday, 9:30 a.m.
June 2, 9, 16 & 23 – Quail Brook’s Continuing Art Institute: “Art” with Karen Haake, Local Artist, 1:00-3:00 pm (Participants will use acrylic paints to embellish pillows, both of which will be provided FREE).
June 3 – “Protect Yourself: Prevent Becoming a Victim of Fraud” with AARP, 10:30 am
June 4 – “Delicious & Nutritious – Get Personal with Summer’s Fruit” by Jaira Ahmed, Registered Dietitian – Willow Creek (Learn smart fruit shopping tips, which are nutritional “super fruits” and interesting facts about processed fruit juices; enjoy a demonstration and tasting of refreshing fruit smoothies!)
(NEW) June 11, 18 & 25 – Come and Learn Basic Hindi (Indo-Aryan Language) with Bharti Trivedi, 10:30 am (Join us for Part 5 of Quail Brook’s Languages Around the World Program).
June 5 – Trip to the Central Jersey Regional Airport, 10:30 am (Attendees will learn about the different types of planes, flights and clouds. Each participant will also have the chance to “fly” in a plane simulator. Make sure to join us for this exciting program!)
June 9 – No Barriers – An African Dance Performance Dress Rehearsal – Under the direction of Mabel Arinzeh, join Quail Brook’s members who will immerse themselves into African Dance expression as they practice the joyful art of polyrhythm that will culminate in an actual dance performance on June 30th, 10:30 am
June 10 – Jailhouse Rock: A Trip to the Franklin Township Police Department, 10:30 am (Learn how the Franklin Township Police Department protects and serves you).
June 12 – “Proverbs, Blessings & Curses from the Yiddish: Create Your Country of Origin Sayings in Yiddish” with Susan London, 10:30 am
June 15 – Part 3 of Religions Around the World: “Islam: Customs and Traditions” by Mohummed Baig, University of Karachi, 11:30 am
June 17 – “Podiatry Clinic: A Foot Health Program & FREE Screenings” with Dr. Sharon Joag, DPM, East Brunswick Foot Care, 10:30 am
June 19 – Environmental Exercise: A Unique Form of Exercise Using Everyday Items with Joanne, 10:30-11:15 am
June 19 – Spring Performance by the Franklin Township Swinging Singing Seniors, 11:15-11:45 am
June 23 – Quail Brook Blossoms with Blossoms: Potting Flowers with KerriAnn, Horticulturist, Somerset County Park Commission, 10:30 am
June 23 – “Do You Know If…Seminar Plus Question/Answer Session” with Randy Smith, Founder, Parents of Addicted Children, 1:30-3:00 pm (Call (732) 563-4213 to reserve your seat).
June 24 – – “Beach Party” with Entertainment by DJ Gary Morton, 10:45 am (Get ready to dance the afternoon away in your brightly colored beach attire. Remember your sunglasses! – Program will be held at the Manville Senior Center)
June 26 – Armchair Travel Presents: “A Wedding in India” by Dorothy & Irwin Vogel, 10:30 am
June 29 – “Become a Technical Guru: Learn to Use Your Personal Electronic Devices” – Lunch & Learn Opportunity by OxyGen, 1:00-3:00 pm – Call (732) 563-4213 to reserve your seat).
June 30 – “No Barriers: Homage to African Dance” with Mabel Arinzeh, 10:30 am (Quail Brook Center members pay homage to African Dance and its unique polyrhythm art form with their own dance performance under the direction of Mabel Arinzeh).
