New Brunswick Man Charged With Murder Of Somerset Resident

A 43-year-old New Brunswick man has been charged with the murder of a 60-year-old township man in a North Brunswick motel.

North Brunswick police responding to an emergency call for an unresponsive man at noon on March 20 at the Farrington Inn found the Somerset man, who showed signs of physical injury, according to a press release from the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

The man was later pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release.

An investigation by North Brunswick Police and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office revealed that the man was killed in a motel room, the release said. The cause of death remains undetermined pending an autopsy.,

The suspect is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center where he is being held pending a pre-trial detention hearing in Superior Court, according to the release.
