Authorities Hunting For Township Man Charged With Molesting Two Children

Authorities are looking for the public’s help in catching a township man charged with molesting two children.

Daniel Serrano-Urbina, 57, of Somerset Street, was charged July 6 with two counts of 1st Degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, two counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault, and two counts of 3rd Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, according to a press release from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.

On July 1, township police received a report that the two children, each younger than 13 years, were sexually assaulted by Serrano-Urbina in the township.

Township detectives and detectives from the Prosecutor’s Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit conducted the investigation, according to the release.

Anyone with information about Serrano-Urbina’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit at (908) 231-7100, or the Franklin Township Police Department at (732) 873-2300.
