Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots and AT&T, the exclusive wireless partner of the team, are honoring men and women who have served our country in the “True Patriot” program throughout the 2014 season.
The “True Patriot” program gives veterans a chance to come out to a Somerset Patriots game with family and friends and be recognized on the field during the first inning. The on-field recognition includes a description of the veteran’s service to the country with Somerset Patriots Manager Emeritus Sparky Lyle at their side cheering him or her on with the fans.
“We always love honoring our veterans and showing them how much we appreciate their service to our country. It’s important to remember the sacrifices these men and women and their families have made so that we can be free. We are proud to team up with our great partners at AT&T to recognize our veterans and thank them at the ballpark,” said Patrick McVerry, President/General Manager of the Somerset Patriots Baseball Club.
The “True Patriot” is in its second season at the ballpark and will take place at all 70 home games this season.
