The township school district plans to enroll nearly 800 pre-Kindergarten students in the 2025-26 school year, the Board of Education was told at its November 21 meeting.
Schools Superintendent gave the update during his monthly report.
“Next year our intention is to grow our program by another 60 seats,” Ravally told the Board. “That’ll bring our grand total of seats to approximately 800. I know that’s the number we’ve been talking about.”
A report compiled by administrators provided a breakdown of the projected enrollment by age.
- The report shows in-district projections of 30 3-year-olds, and 390 4-year-olds in the program.
- There is projected an additional 45 students with Individualized Education Programs in the general population.
- An additional 15 3-year-olds and 15 4-year-olds are projected in the District’s Head Start program, with another 240 3-year-olds and 30 4-year-olds projected to be served by private providers.
That totals 765 students projected to be served in 51 classrooms, according to the report.
“This is amazing considering our enrollment less than 10 years ago was about 100 students,” Ravally said. “So we’re excited for what the future holds as more and more of our young Warriors gain a valuable early childhood educational experience.”
