More than 300 people showed up at The Imperia on Easton Avenue April 15 for food, wine, bourbon and cigars, and all for a good cause.
The event was the second annual Franklin Township PBA Local 154 Wine & Spirits Tasting and, according to the event’s co-organizer, it was a success.
“We’ve doubled the number of attendees” from last year, said FTPD Sgt. Anthony Bisignano. Bisignano hosted the event with FTPD Lt. Darrin Russo.
The event’s major sponsor was Buy Rite Liquors on Easton Avenue, Bisgnano said. Businesses from throughout the township donated items for the event’s silent auction.
The Somerset County Pipes & Drums also made an appearance to kick off the event.
Proceeds from the event will be used by the PBA’s civic association for donations to organizations within and without the township, such as the Boy Scouts, Wounded Warrior Project and the Special Olympics, Bisignano said.
“It’s a great cause, and we’re thankful for the township’s support,” he said.
Following are some scenes from the event.
