Anthony Strachan-Butler of Somerset was cited Oct. 28 for careless driving after the car he was driving rear-ended another one, driven on Easton Avenue by Alan Olegario of Piscataway. Strachan-Butler told police he was trying to change lanes when the collision occurred.

A power washed valued at $400 and four cans of gasoline valued at $120 were reported stolen on Oct. 28 from a Premiere Development work site on Rutgers Boulevard. Company employee Robert Jacovsky told police that someone cut the lock on a storage shed next to a work trailer and removed the machine.
