Storey’s Six Scoreless Leads To 4-1 Patriots Win

912newsBridgewater, NJ – The Somerset Patriots (34-27, 84-47) defeated the Lancaster Barnstormers (40-22, 68-64) 4-1 Saturday evening at TD Bank Ballpark.

 

In the bottom of the first inning first baseman Thomas Neal recorded a RBI ground out to give Somerset a 1-0 advantage.

 

The Patriots padded their lead to 4-0 in the bottom of the second inning. Shortstop Robert Andino hammered a two RBI double while designated hitter Aharon Eggleston slapped a RBI single.

 

Lancaster received a RBI single from center fielder Zach Collier in the top of the eighth inning to cut the deficit to 4-1.

 

Mickey Storey earned the win (11-3) tossing six scoreless innings. It was Storey’s sixth straight win. Madison Boer suffered the loss (3-3) allowing four runs in 6.1 innings of work. Jon Hunton notched the save (31).
