Ismael Turcios of Elizabeth was cited for careless driving after his car struck a car driven by Myashia Clark of Somerset on Hamilton Street. Turcios was attempting a left turn from A&J Tire store when the accident occurred.

§

Jean-Paul Assaff of Marlton told police that he was driving in the right lane of Easton Avenue when a Honda Civic cut his car off. Assaff said he had to swerve to the right, causing his car to leave the road.

§

Jack Springer of Somerset was driving down Route 27 when his car rear-ended one driven by Reinnier Tiamzon of Bayonne. The impact pushed Tiamzon’s car into one driven by Joshua Orlen of Hightstown.

§

A car driven by Nicholas Swain of Monmouth Junction was heading south on Route 27 when another car, driven by Edward Deloff of Lafayette, Col., pulled out of the Tastee Sub Shop parking lot and hit his.

§

Martin Szumera of Somerset told police that he did not realize a car ahead of his on Route 27, driven by Craig Donini of Dayton, was stopped at the Claremont Road light before Szumera’s car rear-ended Donini’s. Donini and a passenger complained of pain.

§

Trisan Napier of New Brunswick and Sekou Powell of Somerset were both cited for careless driving after their cars collided in a Hamilton Street parking lot. Police said Napier was traveling the wrong way in a one-way lane, and Powell improperly backed his car out of a parking spot.

July 31

Bhavnaeen Shah of Somerset told police that she was driving down Julie Court when the front axle on her car snapped, which caused her to lose control of her car, which struck a parked car owned by Folsade Osuntuyi. Police said they could find no damage to the axle.

§

A car driven by Reyna Salcedenunez of New Brunswick was traveling in the left lane of Route 27 when it switched to the right lane and collided with a car driven by Noe Gonzalez-Gonzalez of Somerset.

§

Mauricio Beltran of Edison was driving his motorcycle down Veronica Avenue when it was struck in the rear by a car driven by John Bartha of Somerset as Bartha’s car was pulling out of a driveway.

§

Police said a car driven by Adrienne Agudosi of Somerset was attempting to turn left from Hamilton Street into a parking lot when it collided with a car driven by Sylvester Key, also of Somerset. Agudosi’s car then bounced off Key’s and struck a car driven by Tamika Johnson of Delran.

§

Rasheed Sumonu of Plainfield was cited for careless driving after the car he was driving collided with one driven on Easton Avenue by Kristina Belayyadi of Piscataway. Sumonu was making a left turn onto Arlington Avenue at the time of the accident.

Aug. 1

A car driven by Nadege Desir of Somerset rear-ended one driven on Easton Avenue by Jenneh Mustapha, also of Somerset.

A cardriven on Weston Canal Road by Mukti Patel of Lake Hiawatha was slowing for traffic when it was struck from behind by one driven by Marylymm Morgan of Middlesex.

§

Nirmal Patel of Lewisville, Tx. told police that he took his eyes off the road while driving down Cedar Grove Lane, resulting in his car rear-ending a stopped car driven by Cindy Waller of Somerset.

Aug. 2

The rear window of a Nissan Altima owned by a  Hyde Park Road was smashed out and a bag containing some clothes was stolen. The value of the damage was placed at $200, while the value of the clothes was set at $100.

§

A mountain bike valued at $2,200 was stolen from its owner while it was parked outside the Bagel market and Deli on Easton Avenue.

§

The front driver’s side window of a Nissan Altima was smashed while the car was parked on Worlds Fair Drive. The car’s owner said nothing appeared to be stolen.

A woman reported that $800 was stolen from her wallet, which she’d left at the ShopRite on Elizabeth Avenue. The woman said store employees recovered the wallet, but the money was missing.

Alexis Ortiz of New Brunswick was backing his car on Franklin Boulevard when it struck the car behind his, driven by Morgan Brown of Franklin Park. Ortiz said he missed a turn.

§

Frank Windham of Monmouth Junction was cited for careless driving and Brandon Phillips of Gibbstown was cited for driving an unregistered vehicle after the two collided on South Middlebush Road. Windham said he was driving behind Phillips’ car and turned around to check on his son when his car rear-ended Phillips’.

§

Aug. 3.

Cars driven by Dana McCombs of York, Pa. and Denise Wallace of Hillsborough were driving down Easton Avenue when, police said, Wallace’s car sideswiped McCombs’.

§

A 2000 Honda Civic was stolen while it was parks at Douglass Gardens. The car’s owner said it was locked at the time.

§

The rear passenger’s side window of a 2010 BWM was broken while the car was parked on Philips Road. The damage was valued at $300.

§

Aug. 4

A mountain bike valued at $200 was stolen from the porch of a Wycombe Place home.
