Life Story: Nora J. Kollien, 70, 45-Year Township Resident

Mrs. Nora Kollien passed away on Dec. 28 at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 70 years old.

Mrs. Kollien was born in Linden and lived there for many years. She also lived in Florida prior to moving to Somerset 45 years ago. She enjoyed crafting, especially making Christmas ornaments and playing computer games. She retired from Sunshine Bouquet Wholesale Florist Dayton as a Buyer.

She is predeceased by her parents, Leopold and Ann Boronski.

Mrs. Kollien is survived by her husband of 45 years, Thomas Kollien of Somerset, and her children Richard Allcroft of Somerset, Kristen Kollien of Somerset and Melanie Diamant of South Plainfield. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Jodzio and her husband Ed of Brighton, Tennessee and three grandchildren, Lindsey, Alexa and Jake.

The family will greet family and friends on January 2, 2017 from 4-8 PM at the Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street. All other services will take place privately.
