Life Story: Jean Lynn Evans, 69; Travel Agent More Than 50 Years

Jean Lynn Evans (Groszmann), 69, of Somerset died on March 27  in the comfort of her home with family by her side.

Lynn, also known as Genie to her many work friends, was a travel agent for over 53 years and of course she loved to travel, visiting over a dozen countries during her life.

She belonged to several local bowling leagues and would have bowled every day if she could. Lynn also loved heading to casinos with her neighbors, dinner with friends (especially new restaurants), finding flea market bargains with family, or just getting in the car and driving aimlessly while be-bopping to the oldies. Her indomitable spirit was recognized by everyone she met.

Lynn is survived by daughter Cynthia Lynn Rauschert, brother Glynn Groszmann, sisters Merry Groszmann and Valerie Groszmann, and niece Eleanore Chadderdon.

A memorial celebration of Lynn’s life will be held from 2-6 p.m. June 10. Please contact the family for details.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Lynn’s name to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
