Franklin Students Highlighted At Somerset Patriots Baseball Game

BRIDGEWATER – School kids from the township were featured June 3 at the Somerset Patriots’ baseball game at TD Bank Ballpark here.

The kids and their parents took part in a mini parade around the ballpark, a local dance company performed, an elementary school principal threw out one of the first picthes and a Franklin High School student sand the National Anthem.

The night also saw a township-based charity receive a $7,400 donation.

The honorary check was presented to Miriam’s Heart, a township-based organization that works on behalf of orphaned and abandoned children.

MacAfee Road School Principal Bill Grippo was among a handful of people who threw out first pitches.
