FHS Celebrates Fall Sports Teams With Pep Rally, Bonfire

The Franklin High School pep rally and bonfire went off without a hitch Nov. 22, and there was no one happier than school principal Cheryl Clark.

The event was originally scheduled for the week of homecoming, but bad weather forced its postponement.

Clark brought the idea for the pep rally and bonfire from her hometown of Easton, Pa., she said, where it’s a Thanksgiving tradition.

“They play Phillipsburg every Thanksgiving, and they have a huge bonfire,” she said.

During the pep rally, held on the high school stadium’s field, members of the school’s fall sports team were recognized. The FHS dance team also performed.

Following are some scenes from the event.
