Central Jersey College Prep Charter School is accepting applications for the 2019-20 school year.

Following is the procedure to follow to apply, the areas of preference and the method of selection.

 

1.    Eligibility
CJCP is a tuition-free, public charter school that will be serving grades Kindergarten through 12 in the 2019-20 school year. Applications may be submitted online at www.cjcollegeprep.org, and are due March 1, 2019.

2.    Important Dates

·       January 1 – March 1, 2019: Lottery application submission period

·       March 1, 2017: Lottery application deadline

·       March 14, 2019: Admission lottery for elementary school (Grades K-5)

·       March 19, 2019: Admission lottery for middle school (Grades 6-8)

·       March 19, 2019: Admission lottery for high school (Grades 9-12)

·       March 25 – April 18, 2019: Enrollment period for admitted students

·       April 18, 2019: Enrollment deadline for admitted students

·       April 29, 2019: Invitations for enrollment extended to waitlisted students

 

3.    Open House

Somerset Location: 101 Mettlers Rd, Somerset, NJ 08873

·       January 26, 2019

o   10:00 am (Elementary)

o   1:00 pm (Middle & High School)

·       February 3, 2019

o   12:00 pm (Elementary)

o   2:00 pm (Middle & High School)

·       February 21, 2019

o   6:00 pm (all grades)

 

New Brunswick Location: 222 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901

·       January 27, 2019: 12:00 pm (all grades)

·       February 19, 2019: 6:30 pm (all grades)

4.    Central Jersey College Prep Charter School

·       Free to all families: CJCP does not charge tuition.

·       Open enrollment public charter school: CJCP is open to all students in New Jersey, space permitting. Priority placement is given to students from Franklin Township, the City of New Brunswick, and the Township of North Brunswick.

·       Open-public, random lottery: Students are selected at random. Parents and students are encouraged to attend the lottery.

o   2019-20 school year lottery:

§  March 14, 2019 at 6:00pm: Elementary school (Grades K-5)

§  March 19, 2019 at 6:00pm: Middle & high school (Grades 6-12)
