Bierman’s Complete Game Shutout Leads To 1-0 Patriots Win

6315newsBridgewater, NJ – The Somerset Patriots (27-11) shutout the Lancaster Barnstormers (16-23) 1-0 at TD Bank Ballpark Wednesday evening.

 

In the bottom of the second inning shortstop Robert Andino poked a RBI single to give Somerset a 1-0 advantage.

 

Sean Bierman tossed a complete game shutout to earn the win (4-1). He totaled 107 pitches and scattered just three hits while striking out nine batters and only walked one. Matt Packer endured the loss (3-4) as he hurled seven innings of one run baseball.

 

The 2015 Somerset Patriots season presented by Ford will continue tomorrow when the Patriots remain at TD Bank Ballpark for a 11:05 a.m. game against the Lancaster Barnstormers. For tickets, call 908-252-0700 or visit www.somersetpatriots.com.
