Stop & Shop Pulls ‘Spicy Black Bean Burgers’ From Shelves In Recall

Stop & Shop, which has three stores in the township, is pulling certain lots of Morningstar Farms’ Spicy Black Bean Burgers from its shelves as part of a nationwide recall.

The product was found to contain peanuts, an allergen not listed in its ingredient list, according to a press release about the recall.

The product is safe for those who do not have a peanut allergy, according to the release.

According to the release, the following product is included in this recall:

  • MorningStar Farms Spicy Black Bean Burgers, 18.9 oz., UPC 2898971750, with a Better if Used Before Date of APR14 16 – JUN30 16
  • MorningStar Farms Spicy Black Bean Burgers, 9.5 oz., UPC 2898939207, with a Better if Used Before Date of APR14 16 – JUN30 16

Anyone who purchased the product show throw away any unused portion and bring their receipt back to Stop & Ahop for a refund, according to the release.
