Patriots Shut Out Bluefish 3-0

Bridgeport, CT – The Somerset Patriots (24-19, 62-51) blanked the Bridgeport Bluefish (22-20, 52-60) 3-0 Saturday evening at Harbor Yard. The Patriots have taken the first two in the pivotal three game series between these Liberty Division foes. Somerset has won nine of its last 11 games.

“Since we didn’t win the first half, every game is like a playoff game to us. But tonight you could really feel the intensity,” said Aharon Eggleston, who has reached base safely in eight of his ten plate appearances in the series. “We knew coming in where we stood against them and it’s nice to take the first two.”
