Our Taxes: Board Of Education Approves Contracts For Supplies, Services

The Board of Education awarded a number of contracts at its April 26 meeting.

Contracts awarded were for:

  • The purchase of security supplies from CDW for Cedar Hill Prep School in the amount of $1,136.87, using non-public funding, through Educational Services Commission of New Jersey.
  • The purchase of security supplies from OnScene Technologies, Inc. for Cedar Hill Prep School in the amount of $600.00, using non-public funding, through Educational Services Commission of New Jersey
  • The purchase of security supplies from Oak Security Group LLC. for Cedar Hill Prep School in the amount of $2,786.11, using non-public funding, through Educational Services Commission of New Jersey
  • The purchase of security supplies from Open Systems Integrators, Inc. for Rutgers Preparatory School in the amount of $16,000.00, using non-public funding, through Educational Services Commission of New Jersey
  • Approval of contract with Nilkanth Patel, of Nutley to provide Business Office Consultant Services on a per diem basis, to assist the Assistant Superintendent for Business. The rate of compensation is $89 per hour, not to exceed three hundred fifty (350) hours
  • The purchase of technology supplies from Dell, Inc. for Elite Preparatory Academy in the amount of $1,441.15, using non-public funding, through Educational Services Commission of New Jersey
  • The purchase of security supplies from Fire and Security Technologies for Rutgers Preparatory School in the amount of $5,135.00, using non-public funding, through Educational Services Commission of New Jersey
  • A proposal with Design Resources Group Architects to provide the civil survey required for the site planning of the Franklin High School trailer relocation/locker facility project at a cost of $1,875.00
  • A contract with Summit Speech School to provide school based Itinerant Teacher services from September 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018 for Franklin Township students
  • A professional service agreement between Occupational Therapy Consultants, Inc. and Franklin Township Board of Education to provide therapy services to Franklin Township students from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018. Not to exceed $550,000.
  • A professional service agreement between Brett DiNovi & Associates, L.L.C. and Franklin Township Board of Education to provide Applied Behavioral therapy and consultation services to Franklin Township students from October 1. 2017 to June 30, 2018. Not to exceed $60,000. Services: Registered Behavior Technician, $47.50/hr.; BCBA Consultant, $135/hr., Functional Behavior Assessment – $135/hr. (12 hours minimum).
  • Renew a contract with Bollinger Inc. for student and athletic accident insurance, including disability benefit and school trip coverage, at a premium of $39,201.00 for the 2018-2019 school year.
  • A professional service agreement between Brett DiNovi & Associates, L.L.C. and Franklin Township Board of Education to provide Applied Behavioral therapy and consultation services to Franklin Township students from October 1. 2017 to June 30, 2018. Not to exceed $15,000. Services: Registered Behavior Technician, $47.50/hr.: BCBA Consultant, $135/hr., Functional Behavior Assessment, $135/hr. (12 hours minimum).
  • A proposal from DRG architects to prepare and file construction drawings for the retro fitting of two modular classrooms at the Franklin High School. Contract amount $28,750.
  • An agreement with ModSpace to reinstall one (1) modular classroom complex at new school site. ModSpace will block and level, seam, anchor and skirt the modular complex, at a cost of $28,930.
  • An agreement with Somerset County Educational Services Commission to provide a 2017-2018 “Exploratory Program” Career Center Component for Twilight Program, from April 9, 2018 through May 17, 2018, at a tuition rate of $340.00 per student with a minimum of 45 students.
