The Somerset County Office on Aging and Disability Services is accepting nominations of exemplary efforts in advocating for people with disabilities.
Nominations for the seventh annual Disability Advocates Awards are due by Oct. 1. The awards are open to individuals, organizations and businesses located in Somerset County.
“This award provides an opportunity for Somerset County to recognize those individuals, organizations and companies that make significant contributions in benefiting persons with disabilities throughout the year,” Freeholder Deputy Director Patrick Scaglione, human services liaison, said in a release about the awards. “Their efforts enhance the lives of others and help them to lead fuller, more productive lives.”
Nominations should be as specific as possible and contain contact information for the nominee and nominator.
Award presentations will be made during Disability Awareness Month in October.
