Another round of road reconstruction projects has begun.
Churchill Avenue between Route 27 and Veronica Road will be closed to through traffic for about the next two weeks as it is milled and repaved.
Once that project is completed, the same contractor – Top Line Construction of Somerville – will head over to Canal Road to do the same for the stretch between Griggstown Causeway and Route 518. That project was budgeted at $822,957.
Township manager Robert Vornlocker said that the Township Council will look next year at repaving the part of Canal Road from Butler to Bunker Hill roads.
A final stretch of that road, from Bunker Hill Road to the Griggstown Causeway, is a county road, he said.
