New Britain, CT – From the sixth inning on the New Britain Bees (23-21) scored seven unanswered runs to sting the Somerset Patriots (25-21) 7-6 Wednesday evening at New Britain Stadium. Michael Crouse delivered a walk-off RBI double with two outs in the ninth inning as the Bees clinched the series over the Patriots.
“Our offense was doing great, but then things got away from us a little bit,” said starting pitcher Darin Gorski who had a no hitter for 5.1 innings. “These are the same guys in the clubhouse that went 13-0. We have a really good shot at bouncing back because we have the right character and mindset.”
