Assemblyman Danielsen Hosts Job Fair At Imperia

State Assemblyman Joe Danielsen (D-17) is hosting a job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 5 at the Imperia, 1714 Easton Ave.

The job fair is being presented with the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce.

“The workforce in New Jersey is highly knowledgeable and well-qualified, and I’m happy to provide a forum for job seekers to interact directly with employers that have positions available” Danielsen said in a press release about the event. “While job growth in New Jersey may not reaching the levels we would like, opportunities exist, but the jobs aren’t coming to you, you have to come to the job.”

A number of seminars will be held during the event:

  • 10:30 am to 11:15 am: “How To Perfect Your Interviewing Skills” Hosted by Richard Auslander, AIMS Education Career Services. Interviewing is a learned skill, and there are no second chances to make a great first impression. Learn these new strategies to enhance your interview skills.
  • 11:30 am to 12:15 pm: “How to Write A Resume”, Hosted by Charlotte Quigley, Manager, Career Services, Middlesex County College. Employers usually only spend 30 seconds or so reviewing each resume, therefore, that first impression needs to be the one that counts. Learn these tips to make your resume what it needs to be one that makes a stellar impression!
  • 12:30 pm to 1:15 pm: “Job Search Techniques” Hosted By Richard Auslander, AIMS Education Career Services. This is your effort to “find the right door to knock on” in your search to find available jobs. This workshop will teach you where to search for jobs and how to prepare.
