The annual East Millstone Tree Lighting was held on a very chilly December 1 evening.
More than 50 people showed up to witness the lighting and the rest of the traditional ceremony, which was emceed by MVFD Deputy Chief DJ Coppola.

The poem, “The Night Before Christmas” was read by members of the East Millstone First Aid Sq1uad.
The Calvary Community Church Choir sand three traditional holiday songs, “O Come, O Come Emanuel,” “Oh Come All Ye Faithful,” and “Silent Night.”
The event was capped by a community sing-along of “Jingle Bells.”
Afterword, attendees were invited into the East Millstone First Aid Squad headquarters for the traditional cocoa bar and a variety of cookies and desserts.
The event was a collaboration among the Millstone Valley Fire Department, the East Millstone First Aid Squad, and the East Millstone Historical Society.
