Franklin High School’s freshman baseball team suffered its first loss of the season April 28 at the hands of the Bridgewater-Raritan squad, 5-4.
But they didn’t go quietly.

Franklin tied the game in the bottom of the 5th inning when Pallay, who had reached third on a line-drive triple, scored on a passed ball.
Patel was hit by the next pitch, and two batters later, Millman singled, advancing Patel to second base.
Garrett Callaghan was then hit by a pitch, loading the bases. Patel later scored on a flyout.
Franklin took the lead in the bottom of the 6th when Bryan Smith, who had walked, advanced to second on a line drive and then third when Patel was again hit by a pitch, scored on a passed ball.
