7 Run 9th Inning Leads To 8-1 Patriots Win

Bridgeport, CT – The Somerset Patriots (25-11) defeated the Bridgeport Bluefish (16-20) 8-1 in nine innings of a scheduled seven inning game at Harbor Yard Monday evening. The squads were supposed to play a doubleheader but game two was postponed due to rain. There will now be a doubleheader tomorrow beginning at 10:35 a.m. with the second contest starting 30 minutes after the first ends. Each game will be seven innings.

In the top of the fourth inning first baseman Andres Rodriguez hit a RBI sacrifice fly to give Bridgeport a 1-0 advantage.
