‘Wine & Dreams’ Brings Sip-And-Paint To Somerset

Mayor Phillip Kramer, with scissors, gets a helping hand from Wine & Dreams owner Shital Patel Aug. 5 at the store’s grand opening party. Looking on, to Kramer’s right, is Alex Shedlock, president of the Business Alliance of Franklin Township and AVP, Relationship Manager at Unity Bank, Somerset.

Wine meets art at Wine & Dreams, a new “sip-and-paint” offering in the Cedar Grove Center on Cedar Grove Lane.

Store owner Shital Patel has taken the sip-and-paint model and added one extra: Karaoke.

Customers can bring their own beverage and snacks and choose from a selection of ceramic figures, wine glasses, blank canvases and other materials to paint. Walk-ins and groups are welcome.

Patel, who has another location on Route 27 in Franklin Park, held a grand opening party at her Somerset location on Aug. 5, complete with a ribbon cutting by Mayor Phillip Kramer.

The Franklin Reporter & Advocate was there, and we live-streamed a tour of the new shop and talked to Patel about her inspiration for opening it. Check it out:
