Amanda Lake, a resident of Somerset, was honored for academic achievement by being named to the Dean’s List at Delaware Valley University for the Fall 2017 semester.

Briana Johnson of Somerset was named to the Cedarville University Dean’s List for fall 2017. This recognition requires the student to have a 3.5 GPA or higher for the semester, and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Numerous Coastal Carolina University student-athletes participated in “Night to Shine,” a red-carpet event held at The Rock Church in Conway in conjunction with the Tim Tebow Foundation, including Jave Brown, a recreation and sport management major from Franklin Park. “Night to Shine” is a unique prom night experience for people with special needs. More than 200 “Kings and Queens” from ages 14 to 83 participated the event Feb. 9. CCU players from the volleyball team, lacrosse team and football team participated in the event.

Wilkes University Provost Dr. Anne Skleder announced the Dean’s List for the Fall 2017 Semester. To be named to the Dean’s List, Dylan O’Connor of Somerset obtained a minimum 3.4 grade point average and carried at least 12 credits.

Franklin Park native Garrett Callaghan, an Ithaca College student majoring in Sport Management, was named to the Dean’s List in the college’s School of Business for the fall 2017 semester.

Local residents were among more than 1,600 students named to The University of Scranton’s Dean’s List for the 2017 fall semester. The Dean’s List recognizes students for academic excellence. A student must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours during the semester to make the Dean’s List. The students are: Carolina Chaves of Somerset, a freshman journalism – electronic media major in the University’s College of Arts and Sciences, and Michael Diana of Somerset, a sophomore psychology major in the University’s College of Arts and Sciences.

Seton Hall University is pleased to announce the following students who qualified for Fall 2017 Dean’s list and to congratulate them for their outstanding academic achievements: Gerald Demby of Somerset, Isabella Fiorello, Alexander Melillo of Somerset, John Mercado of Somerset, Ian Murphy of Somerset, Sabri Patel of Somerset, Kate Snyder of Somerset and Kevin Suresh of Somerset.

Madison Mento of Franklin Park excelled during the Fall 2017 semester, achieving a GPA of at least 3.5 to earn a spot on the Hofstra University Dean’s List.

Muhlenberg College students with a term GPA of 3.50 or higher were recognized for their academic achievement and named to Dean’s List for Fall 2017. Local students receiving this recognition include: Melissa Butera of Franklin Park and Julia Lombardo of Franklin Park.

Shelby A. Lubowicki of Somerset has been named to the President’s List at Clemson University for the fall 2017 semester. Lubowicki is majoring in Biological Sciences. To be named to the President’s List, a student must achieve a 4.0 (all As) grade-point average.

Dean College is pleased to announce that Samantha Panek of Somerset has earned a place on the Dean’s List for the Fall 2017 semester.

The following students earned dean’s list honors for the Fall 2017 semester at Saint Joseph’s University. Students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or above, a B or greater in all their classes, and complete at least 15 credits to earn Dean’s List status for a semester: Cristina Canestri of Franklin Park and Timothy Galuchie of Somerset.

The University of Hartford is pleased to announce the following students have been named to the Dean’s List for Fall 2017: Cristen Bailey of Franklin Park, Sara Kohut of Somerset and Justin Arnold of Somerset.

The following students have been named to the fall 2017 Dean’s List at University of the Sciences. Selection for this award is based on completing and passing all assigned courses with no grade below a “C” and attaining an academic average of at least 3.4 for courses taken in the fall of 2017: Nicolette Cerminaro of Somerset, a doctor of pharmacy student; Erika Estillore of Somerset, a health science student; Shanaya Patel of Somerset, a doctor of occupational therapy student; Khushbu Patel of Franklin Park, a doctor of physical therapy student, and Parth Patel of Somerset, a pharmacology and toxicology student.

Tina Doshi of Somerset, is one of more than 90 Wilkes University students participating in an internship for the Spring 2018 semester. Doshi, a psychology major, is interning with Institute For Human Resources.
