Two Somerset Men Among Three Charged With Home Invasion
Two Somerset men remain incarcerated at the Middlesex County Jail, New Brunswick, on robbery charges stemming from an alleged Jan. 4 home invasion.
The two were among three men arrested as they allegedly fled from the scene, police said.
Juan K. Dunlap, 31 and Rick R. Barley, 54, were charged with Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. Dunlap was also charged with being a person not to be in possession of a weapon, and Barley was also charged with Receiving Stolen Property.
The two were arrested with Donte R. Crumidy, 36, of New Brunswick, who was charged with Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.
Police said the three entered a basement apartment on Louis Street when it was occupied by two women, ransacked the apartment and then fled without taking anything.
Police said that at about 7:45 p.m., a silver Hyundai was stopped about a block away from the scene, and the three men were identified as being suspects in the robbery.
Inside the car was found two handguns, ski masks, a book bag and clothing which were identified by the victims.
Police said both guns were loaded and one was listed as stolen.
