Township Non-Profits In Running For Donations From Unity Bank

Three township non-profit organizations are among 19 in the running to receive up to $2,000 from Unity Bank in the bank’s “Join Forces” campaign.

One winner and one runner-up will win in each of four categories, based on the number of votes the organizations receive: youth, housing, arts and animal advocacy.

The township organizations participating are: Youth: Dreams for Kids; Arts: Franklin Township Cultural Arts Council, and Animal Advocacy: Second Chance for Animals.

No purchase is necessary to vote in the contest, however, anyone opening up a new personal checking account with Unity Bank can also select any of the 19 charitable organizations to receive a $25 donation from the bank. There are no minimum deposits for the new account portion of the campaign and the donation is provided by Unity Bank, not the customer.

“As a community bank, supporting organizations that provide vital services in the communities where we do business is part of our mission,” James A. Hughes, Unity’s President & CEO, said in a release about the program. “We try to ‘Join Forces’ with the people and organizations who are making a difference in the communities we serve through sponsorships and multiple partnership initiatives. We hope the public will take this opportunity to support and get involved with these important community service providers.”

You can vote for your favorite non-profit by clicking on the Unity Bank ad on the FR&A’s front page.
