Township Man Sustains Serious Head Injuries After Motorcycle Accident

A 23-year-old township man was in serious condition Aug. 5 after he was thrown from his motorcycle on Ralph Street.

David Vega was riding his 2018 Honda motorcycle on Ralph Street shortly before 6:30 a.m. when he hit a parked car, according to a press release from the Franklin Township Police Department. The impact threw Vega off of his motorcycle and onto the street, where he sustained what police said were serious head injuries.

Vega was taken to a local trauma center for treatment, according to the release. The road was closed for several hours during the investigation.

The accident is still under investigation by the FTPD Traffic Safety Bureau.
