Township Man Injured In House Fire

A 62-year-old township man was injured during a fire in his Arden Street home on December 29, police said.

The man was treated at the scene by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital BLS and paramedics before being taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, police said.

Police received a call about the house fire at about 1:39, according to a press release from ythe Franklin Township Police Department.

Firefighters from Districts 1 and 3, Franklin Township Office of Fire Prevention, New Brunswick Fire Department, and Bound Brook Fire Department responded to the scene to extinguish the blaze, according to the release.

The structure was deemed uninhabitable due to smoke and fire damage. One resident was relocated with family, police said.

The cause and origin of the fire are under investigation by the Franklin Township Office of Fire Prevention, police said.
