Star 99.1 To Launch Sister Station on Long Island
Pillar of Fire Radio Network, headquartered in Zarephath, will launch a sister station on Aug. 1 in Hampton Bays, NY.
Star 107.1 hits the airwaves at noon and will feature Rich Anderson in mornings, Dawn Wheeler during mid-days, Scott & Sam for the drive home, and Rick Hall for evenings, according to a release about the launch. The playlist includes artists such as Casting Crowns, MercyMe, Third Day, Laura Story, Matthew West, the Newsboys, Chris Tomlin, Mandisa and many others.
Star 107.1 will include listener interaction, the Live Love campaign and other seasonal promotions, concerts and events, according to the release. The first event is scheduled with Michael W. Smith at Six Flags Great Adventure on September 13.
The signal will also be heard on a string of five translators located in Suffolk and Nassau counties serving a potential audience of 2.3 million radio listeners.
