‘Somerset Saturday Night’ To Benefit Local Organizations

The annual “Somerset Saturday Night” comedy fundraiser is set for 7-10 p.m. April 5 at the East Franklin Fire Department, 121 Pine Grove Ave.

Tickets for the adults-only, BYOB event are $20, and an be purchased here.

The event will mainly benefit teh MacAfee Road School PTO, but other PTOs and organizations can benefit by selling tickets, said Dan Bocchino, the event’s organizer and one of the performers.

“Many groups are taking advantage of that again this year – Elizabeth Avenue School, the Franklin High School Marching Band, Franklin Middle School – Sampson G. Smith Campus, and even a few tickets earmarked for the Franklin Township Baseball League,” he said.

Other organizations receive 50 percent of the ticket sales bought on their behalf or sold by them, he said.

Besides Bocchino, performing will be Kevin Israel, Matt Jenkins, and Grisel Cabrera, “all pros who have performed in the tri-state area and around the country,” Bocchino said.

Doors open at 7 p.m., the show is from 8-10 p.m.
