Somerset Patriots To Host Rutgers Night With Special Guest Kyle Flood

rutgerspicBridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots have announced that they will be hosting Rutgers Night on Saturday, July 25th when they take on the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.   The first pitch at TD Bank Ballpark is scheduled for 7:05 p.m and will include a Post Game Fireworks Show presented by Nissan North America.

 

Join the Patriots as they welcome special guest Rutgers Head Football Coach Kyle Flood, the Scarlet Knight, cheerleaders and members of the Rutgers Dance Team. Flood will address the crowd before the game and throw out a Ceremonial First Pitch.

 

Flood became the Head Football Coach at Rutgers University in 2012. In his first three seasons, Flood has led his team to three straight Bowl appearances, the first coach to do so in school history.

 

He led the Scarlet Knights into the Big Ten Conference in 2014 with highlights including a 26-24 win over the Michigan Wolverines on October 4th for Rutgers’ first Big Ten victory. Rutgers went on to an 8-5 record in its inaugural Big Ten season, culminated by a 40-21 win over the North Carolina Tar Heels in the first ever Quick Lane Bowl. It was Flood’s first Bowl victory as Head Coach at Rutgers.
