Somerset Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant After Car Accident

A Somerset man had a double dose of bad luck on Sept. 20 when he was involved in a car accident and was later arrested on an outstanding warrant from Piscataway.

Police said Blair A. Wilson, 40, was driving down Girard Avenue when his car struck one driven by Eloise Jacobs, also of Somerset. Jacobs told police that she had just pulled out of her driveway on Warren Street and was making a left turn onto Girard – without fully stopping for the stop sign – when her car was struck by Wilson’s.

Jacobs was cited for careless driving, while Wilson was cited for driving while on the suspended list, not having insurance and failing to exhibit his auto insurance card.

A check later revealed that Wilson had an outstanding warrant from Piscataway, for which he was arrested and turned over to Piscataway police.
