No one was injured in a fire March 2 that destroyed a Somerset Run home.

The unidentified occupant of the home escaped and will be staying with family members, according to a press release from township police.

Police arrived at the Windfall Lane home to find it fully engulfed in flames after receiving a 9-1-1 call about the fire at about 3:30 p.m., according to the release.

Police quickly determined that everyone in the house had evacuated before first responders were called, according to the release.

Fire departments from across the township responded to the fire, which, the release said, appeared to have started in the front of the home and spread.

A preliminary investigation showed that the fire does not appear to be suspicious; the exact cause is still being investigated by the township Office of Fire Prevention.
