Police Log: Sept. 17, 2013

A tractor-trailer driven by Mark R. Sailsman of Freeport, N.Y. struck a light pole in a parking lot at 17 Veronica Avenue Sept. 17. Sailsman told police that he did not see the light post.

Simone Tan of Tinton Falls was cited for careless driving Sept. 17 after she was involved in a car accident on Easton Avenue.

Tan told police that she was looking across Easton, at a car accident, when he car rear-ended a car driven by Gilberto Diaz-Ocasio of Bound Broo.

Diaz-Ocasio told police that he was stopped at the red traffic light at Easton and Cedar Grove Lane when his car was hit.

Melissa A. Robitaille of Franklin Park was cited for careless driving Sept. 17 after being involved in an accident at Route 27 and Delar Parkway.

Robitaille told police that she was driving down Rt. 27 when she took her eyes off the road to grab her iced coffee, and did not see that the car ahead of hers, driven by Xiao F. Sun of Edison, had stopped.

Janet M. Hoffman of Neshanic told police Sept. 17 that she was travelong down Mettlers Road, behind a car driven by Weilin Wu of Belle Meade, when Wu’s car stopped for traffic at Amwell Road, then moved forward a bit before stopping again. Hoffman’s car hit Wu’s at the second stop, she said.
