Oct. 13

Yudelka Rodriguez of North Brunswick was cited for careless driving after the car she was driving rear-ended one driven on Route 27 by Christopher Chiricosta of Somerset.

Arshi Hasan of Belle Mead was cited for careless driving after the car she was driving on Amwell Road rear-ended one driven by Oksana Hapiak of Parlin. The impact pushed Hapiak’s car into one driven by Jill Hart of Bridgewater.

§

Joshua Rowson of Somerset was cited for failure to yield, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident and driving on the suspended list after the car he was driving on Easton Avenue collided with one driven by Ushamatie Guman, also of Somerset. Rowson said another driver waved him through when he was trying to make a turn from Easton into the Harrison Towers apartment complex, and when he made his turn his car collided with Guman’s. Rowson then ran away from the scene, but was later found. He said he fled because he thought his license was suspended.

Oct. 14

Someone walked out of Scarlet Knight Liquors on Hamlton Street without paying for a $14 bottle of vodka.

§

Michael Esposito of Manville was cited for careless driving after the car he was driving on Weston Canal Road rear-ended one driven by Jose Dominguez of Kenilworth.

§

Oct. 15

Someone stole $1,100 in cash from a Kingsberry Drive home.

§

Anthony Arun-Kumar of Somerset was driving down Route 27 when his car collided with a deer that ran in front of his car.

§

Jaslin Smith of Watchung was cited for failure to stop and careless driving after the car she was driving ran a stop sign and collided with a car driven on Belmont Drive by Jorge Aviles of Plainfield. The impact spun Aviles’ car into a school bus driven by Carmen Campos of Sayreville. There were no reported injuries.

§

Julissa Gomez of Somerset was cited for careless driving after the car she was driving collided with one driven by Ayesha Wahidy of Neshanic Station. Gomez was turning left from Berry Street onto Hamilton Street, when her car collided with Wahidy’s, which was traveling on Hamilton.

§

Oct. 16

A moped valued at $150 was stolen from the underground garage of a Berry Street home.

§

A change purse valued at $10, $60 in cash and personal papers were stolen from a woman while she was shopping in Office Depot, Rutgers Plaza.

§

Cesar Castro of Somerset was cited for failure to yield after the car he was driving collided with one on Route 27 driven by Christine Conant of Metuchen. Castro was attempting a left turn onto Rt. 27 at the time.

§

Jamie Brown of Middleburg, Pa. was cited for careless driving after the tractor-trailer he was driving on Franklin Boulevard knocked down traffic light post while he was turning onto Route 27. Brown said he did not realize he hit the post until he saw the trailer dragging it.

§

Glenn Cheetham of Somerset was cited for careless driving after the car he was driving on Cedar Grove Lane rear-ended one driven by Oleksandr Fedorov, also of Somerset.

Oct. 17

Someone threw a rock through the bedroom window of a Holland Drive home.

§

Oct. 18

A man reported that he fell off the roof of a Cottontail Lane building while working on it. No word on injuries.

§

Oct. 19

About $1,200 worth of copper was stolen from a work site on Route 27.

§

A car driven by Gwendolyn Willis of Somerset crossed the center line on Veronica Avenue, struck a curb and ended up on a lawn.

§

Shireen Aurora of Somerset was cited for careless driving after the car she was driving rear-ended one driven on South Middlebush Road by Antoinette Ganie of Franklin Park. The impact pushed Ganie’s car into one driven by Kelly Martinez of Franklin Park.

§

Freda Barker of Somerset was cited for failure to stop after the car she was driving on Route 27 collided with one driven by Brett Butterline of Piscataway. Barker was trying to make a left turn at the time.

§

Dario Amato of Somerset was cited for careless driving after the car he was driving rear-ended one driven on Easton Avenue by Fransisco Villanueva of South Bound Brook. A third car cut Villanueva off, causing him to stop short, when his car was struck by Amato’s.

§

Stephanie Moore of Clinton was cited for careless driving after the car she was driving rear-ended one at a stop light on Davidson Avenue, which was driven by Jean Louis of East Orange.
