Patriots Shut Out Riversharks 3-0

gamerecapupdate5114g1Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots defeated the Camden Riversharks 3-0 in the first game of a double header on Thursday afternoon at TD Bank Ballpark.

The Patriots took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning on an RBI groundout by Aharon Eggleston and a sacrifice fly by Damaso Espino.

Somerset added to the lead in the bottom of the third on a bases loaded hit by pitch of Ty Wright that made the score 3-0.

The winning pitcher for Somerset was Jason Lowey (1-0) who pitched a scoreless inning. Aaron Tullo (0-1) took the loss, allowing three runs in 2.1 innings pitched. Jon Hunton came on to record his first save of the season with a scoreless inning pitched.
