Patriots’ Dorminy Strikes Out 10 In Loss To Revolution

Bridgewater, New Jersey – The York Revolution (12-5, 46-40) defeated the Somerset Patriots (6-11, 48-39) 3-1 at TD Bank Ballpark on Tuesday evening.

The Revolution took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning on a double by Angelys Nina.

A Ramon Flores RBI single in the bottom of the third inning cut the lead in half.

Nina drove in an insurance run for York in the top of the ninth inning for the 3-1 final.

Dan Minor (6-5) picked up the win, allowing a run on five hits in six innings pitched. Thomas Dorminy (5-6) suffered the loss, allowing two runs on five hits and struck out ten batters in seven innings of work. Jameson McGrane pitched a scoreless ninth inning for his 11th save of the season.

The 2019 Somerset Patriots Season presented by Ford will continue at home on Wednesday, July 31st with a day-night doubleheader (11:05 am and 7:05 pm) against the York Revolution at TD Bank Ballpark. The evening game includes Jon Hunton Bobblehead Dolls (1st 1,500) courtesy of Applegate and Sparkee’s Birthday Celebration.
