Part Of Easton Avenue To Be Closed For Accident Investigation

Part of Easton Avenue will be closed for several hours Oct. 7 for a continuing investigation into a fatal accident.

Easton Avenue between Cedar Grove Lane and Willow Avenue will be closed for “two to three hours” starting at 8 a.m., according to Franklin Township Police Department Lt. Phil Rizzo and Somerset County Public Safety.

“The closure is necessary as part of the ongoing, active investigation into the motor vehicle crash that occurred on 10/4/18,” Rizzo said in an email.

The accident killed a 59-year-old Clinton woman and injured two other people.
