A New York woman faces a prostitution charge after she was busted in an Easton Avenue massage parlor propositioning an undercover detective.

A two-month investigation by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force and the Franklin Township Police Department resulted in the Aug. 15 arrest of Xu Huiqin, 47, of Flushing, N.Y., at the New Image Spa, according to a press release from the SCPO.

The investigation was spurred by reports from “concerned citizens” that the spa was being used as a brothel, according to the release.

According to police, during the investigation, an undercover SCPO detective was propositioned by Xu “for a sexual act in exchange for U.S. currency.”

SCPO Task Force members and FTPD officers then entered the spa and Xu was placed under arrest without incident, according to the release.

Xu was charged with Engaging in Prostitution, a disorderly persons offense. She was released on her own recognizance pending a Franklin Township Municipal Court hearing, according to the release.
