New Brunswick Man Shot On Somerset Street, Injury Not Life-Threatening

A 25-year-old New Brunswick man was shot in the morning of Nov. 4 on Somerset Street, according to a press release from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.

The man took himself to an area hospital for treatment, and his wound is not considered life-threatening, according to the release.

At about 9:22 a.m., Franklin Township Police officers on patrol in the 700 block of Somerset Street were told of a shooting that occurred nearby, according to the release.

An investigation revealed that there had been a shooting, and that the New Brunswick man was the one who had been shot.

The preliminary investigation, conducted by FTPD and Somerset County Prosecutor’s detectives, revealed that the injured man had been the intended target, according to the release.

The incident is under investigation.
