MacAfee Road School Goes Up, Up And Away With Science Fair Spectacular

The school’s entryway was decorated with paper hot air balloons, each of which carried a picture of a teacher.

The third annual Science Fair Spectacular kicked off June 7 at MacAfee Road Elementary School with the theme of “Up, Up and Away.”

Highlighting the fair was a hot air balloon set up behind the school. As in the past, students during the day attended workshops about various aspects of science – ranging from the weather, to electricity, to the life cycle of butterflies – and a science fair was held in teh evening.

During the evening fair, which was attended by MacAfee family members, 4th Grade students were able to describe projects and experiments they conducted to answer specific questions or solve specific problems.
