Life Story: Ronald Mednick, 74; Retired Media Director

Ronald Mednick, of Somerset passed away on November 6 at home. He was 74.

Born in the Bronx, New York, he lived in Flushing and Spring Valley, New York, Memphis, Tennessee and Randolph before moving to Somerset in 2004.

He worked as Media Director for various agencies and clients throughout the NY/NJ area, most recently for JL Media, Inc. in Union before retiring in 2016.

Ron enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, Hyman & Malvina Mednick; and sister, Sondra Shapiro.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Iris (nee: Canier); son and daughter-in-law, Joshua & Kendra Mednick of New York City, NY; daughters and son-in-law, Allison & Johnny Harris of Springfield, and Jodi Starr & her fiancé David Tawil of San Antonio, Texas; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:45 a.m. November 10 at Cedar Park Beth El Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, under the direction of the Gleason Funeral Home, Somerset.
