Life Story: Hedwig Irene Triebe, 91; Former Legal Secretary

Mrs. Hedwig Irene Triebe (nee Stasiulewicz) passed away on Feb. 27 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 91 years old.

Mrs. Triebe was born in Jersey City and was a graduate of Dickinson High School. She was a long time member of St. Ann’s Polish Catholic Church and a member of the Polonaise Club in Jersey City. She also lived in the Breton Woods section of Brick where she was very active in the Breton Woods Property Owners Association. She was employed as a Legal Secretary at different firms through the years.

She was predeceased by her husband Edwyn in 2000. She was also predeceased by her four brothers John, Joe, Walter and Stanley. She has a surviving sister Helen Kolankiewicz of Huntsville, Alabama.

Mrs. Triebe is survived by her son Robert Triebe, a daughter Gwendolyn Lentz and her husband Sid and two grandsons Scott and Steven.

A funeral mass will take place on Tuesday March 5, 2019 at 10 AM St. Joseph Church in Hillsborough and committal services will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Please consider a contribution in Mrs. Triebe’s name to the Disabled Veterans of America at www.dav.org.
