Life Story: Charlotte M. Wylie, 78; Was Snuffy’s Waitress

Mrs. Charlotte Wylie passed away on Jan. 26 at her home in Somerset.

She was 78 years old.

Mrs. Wylie was born in Perth Amboy and lived in North Brunswick before moving to Somerset in 2000. She was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School and attended Rutgers University. She worked as a waitress for many years at Snuffy’s in Scotch Plains and other local restaurants but had a very successful career as a rental property owner. She was always willing to get her hands dirty and tend to issues on a property herself.

She is survived by her husband Dan Dannunzio of Somerset. She is also survived by her brother Bruce Balut and a sister Michaline Moore along with several nieces and nephews.

Cremation will take place privately and a memorial mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 31 at St. Matthias church in Somerset.

Mrs. Wylie’s Cremated remains will be buried immediately following mass at St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Perth Amboy.
