Life Story: Anthony Romano, 87; Long-Time College Professor

Anthony Romano of Somerset died March 24 at RWJUH at Somerville. He was 87.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Romano resided in Springfield, then Bridgewater moving to Somerset 15 years ago.

Anthony received his BS degree from Adelphi University Long Island, N.Y. Continuing his education, he received his Master’s Degree from N.Y.U. Manhattan, N.Y. and his Ph.D. from Capella University.

Prior to his retirement, he was a Professor at Caldwell University, Caldwell, for many years.

He loved teaching and he also enjoyed skiing in Killington, Vt.

Surviving are his wife, Carol (Farley) Romano; a son, Patrick; a brother, Dominick, and two grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held from 1-3 p.m. March 30 at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton St. A blessing will be offered at 3 p.m.
